Hunting Training Days 2020

10th, 16h, 22nd, 23rd February 2020 - West Bergholt, Essex & Brandon, Suffolk

The following training days are open to all members and non-members, with preference given to members who have regularly attended our monthly training sessions during 2019.

We’re offering hunting training at 2 venues; Brandon and West Bergholt. 

Brandon – 2 separate days training which will be aimed at beginners wishing to understand wind and ground treatment.  There is game on this ground but it will not be in abundance.  There will be an experienced trainer on both days.

West Bergholt – 2 separate days training aimed at dogs and handlers with some experience on game and handlers that would be aiming to trial next season.  There will be game birds, deer, rabbits and hares.  There will be an experienced trainer on both days.

Handlers will receive instruction to help get the best from their dogs, including understanding wind and field craft.  The days will be held on varied ground that have been a working shoot for many seasons. No game will be shot.  6 dogs max each day.

£20 Members, £25 non-members per dog per day

Successful applicants will be notified ASAP after the closing date by email.

Please bring a packed lunch and water for your dogs

Please complete the attached entry form indicating which date(s) you would like to enter enclosing a separate cheque for each day, payable to Norfolk & Suffolk HPRFTC with your entry.
